Four horses were usually required to haul this large horse brake by John Martson's of Birmingham. The vehicle is the forerunner of the bus and can seat fourteen passengers. In recent years, this vehicle was used for horse bus tours of Edinburgh and was fitted with hydraulic disc brakes in the interest of safety.
