Annual Closure: We close the museum annually for the off-season between November and March. Keep an eye on our events during this period for some special days at GTM.
Dog-Friendly: We love well-behaved four-legged friends at GTM, but please be prepared, our staff will make a fuss of them! Fresh water bowls are placed outside each day and dogs are welcome inside the museum as long as they remain on leads at all times.
Visiting Grampian Transport Museum
Grampian Transport Museum is a seasonal attraction and is open 10am - 5pm daily from 28th March - 26th October (please note: during October, we close at 4pm)
Please note: The Motorbites tearoom operates reduced hours and is only open on weekends outside the local Aberdeenshire school holidays. Please call GTM if you would like to check if it is open.

** For visitors with registered accessibility requirements. Please bring proof of eligibility with you to show at reception on arrival. Only one carer will be admitted with a full-priced ticket.
The ticket price includes a 10% charitable donation which can be deducted if you prefer.
For group bookings or larger parties, please contact the museum, we may be able to provide a discounted rate.
The Museum and Collections Centre buildings are 100% wheelchair accessible. The doors within the museum are fully accessible to wheelchairs. We also have our own wheelchair on-site which is available at reception.
There is a platform lift in the museum for access to upper floor exhibit areas.

The entire museum site, including the Motorbites tearoom, is dog-friendly. We warn you in advance, however — dogs will be made a fuss of! Complimentary dog treats are available at reception.
Yes — GTM+ Memberships are available and are vital in supporting the work we do bringing transport stories to life. Please visit the Memberships page for more information.
There is a free car park directly in front of the Museum with ample spaces. On event days, there may be overflow parking arrangements — please check with the team for details.
