Motoring Clubs & Groups
Grampian Transport Museum is located at Alford — the gateway to the Cairngorms. With some of Scotland’s most spectacular drives on our doorstep, we’re a popular stop-off for car clubs, motorcycle clubs and vehicle enthusiasts of all ages and interests.
Whether you’re planning a leisurely afternoon drive or a full weekend-long excursion in the North East of Scotland, Grampian Transport Museum is a must-see destination for your motoring club or group to visit and enjoy.
Each year, we welcome a wide variety of car and motorcycle clubs for museum visits, lunches, pit-stops and photoshoots, and we are proud to be a place where motoring groups feel at home — a haven for petrolheads, car history buffs and those who just enjoy catching up with good pals, on the road.
To ensure we can provide the best welcome possible, all group visits to GTM must be pre-booked in advance. Our calendar fills up quickly every year, so we ask all groups to enquire (via the form below) as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.
Grampian Transport Museum can usually host motoring clubs and groups on any standard opening day during the season (March-October annually), however this may not always be possible on event days.

We can ensure you're fed and watered for your onward journey. GTM offers bespoke food and drink packages for visiting groups, which are available with or without museum entry. Please contact us (via the form below) for further details to discuss your requirements and we’ll be happy to lay on all the refreshments for your visit.

For photo opportunities, vehicles may be positioned on the reception forecourt. The remaining vehicles should remain in the main car park or, by prior arrangement, on the arena tarmac. Please get in touch with the GTM team to discuss photo opportunities.
