William S. Harley and Arthur Davidson began their motorcycle business at Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1903. Of the eighty American makers of motorcycles they are the sole survivor. Famous for their big V twins and the speed cop police bikes, Harley have a worldwide following.

Their high capacity low revving approach is unique in the world of motorcycles today but Harley are building cruisers not racers! All of their machines weigh in at over 700lbs (318 kg)!

The machine displayed is a 1340cc ex Nigerian Police bike. It was purchased in Nigeria by a local oil worker, Andy Solyom, in a dangerously unmaintained condition and completely rebuilt over a couple of years.
