Canadian based Can-Am are famous for their snowmobiles. The company began to produce motorcycles for NATO using Rotax engines in an off-road frame designed by Jeff Smith, formerly of BSA. Engine sizes were 125cc, 175cc and 250cc. The 250cc machine displayed was recently replaced by lighter Japanese machines causing many thousands of Bombadiers to be sold into civilian use.
