Spring Autojumble launches GTM's 2026 events programme!

This coming Sunday, 12th April, sees the launch of Grampian Transport Museum’s events season with our traditional Spring Autojumble, which has been hailed as ’one of Scotland’s biggest and longest established Autojumbles’.

Museum Manager, Ross McKirdy is excited at the prospect of getting the season off to a flying start.

“Our Autojumble has always been a popular event and this year again we have a high level of re-booked pitches with more expected to turn up at the gate on Sunday morning!"

“‘Autojumble’ is quite a loose description of Sunday’s event.” smiles Ross. “People bring all manner of things to sell, from their garages, sheds and homes. There are the hard-to-find car and motorcycle parts of course, plus tools, machinery and sometimes complete vehicles and motorcycles. It amazing what is for sale and we enjoy seeing happy people heading back to their cars with their arms full and a triumphant look on their face! Gardening equipment is very popular at this time of year and with spring cleaning in full swing there is bound to be a range of household items from traditional ‘car boot’ vendors. To guarantee a place on Sunday it is better and cheaper to book a spot in advance, but you are welcome to turn up on the morning and we’ll do our best to fit you in.”

Ross adds “The Autojumble can be a great family day, with plenty of rummage boxes for the children, food and refreshments available and the opportunity, while you are here, to visit the newly opened 2026 GTM museum exhibition, including our ‘And On That Bombshell!’ display of vehicles from the Top Gear television programmes.”
