Grampian Transport Museum is located in the historic village of Alford, just 45 minutes from Aberdeen. We are a living museum, where many of our exhibits are climb on, hands on and even ride on!

With exhibitions exploring different modes of road transport, interactives and a digital guide that is regularly updated with extra content, there is so much to see and do on a visit.

We can offer completely bespoke visits – from guided tours, rides on vehicles around the museum arena, steam experiences to workshops for special interest groups – we provide experiences that you will not find anywhere else.

Grampian Transport Museum is a 4* Visit Scotland Visitor Attraction and TripAdvisor Traveller’s Choice attraction. We are fully accessible throughout the site, with a disabled lift and accessible toilets.
