With a recently refurbished tea room, reception and shop plus hundreds of transport artefacts of all kinds, we are the perfect place for group visits. We offer a variety of visitor services at the museum, including talks and guided tours for all ages, arranged evening visits, the option of hiring the meetings room for private functions and much more. We are also travel trade friendly and keen to provide a really top-notch experience.

Whether it's an afternoon run or a weekend excursion, the Grampian Transport Museum is an ideal stop-off point for clubs and groups of all sizes.

There are always fun quizzes and trails for younger visitors to enjoy inside the museum.  Outside, the front lawn - complete with a distinctive red phone box and Birkhall Steam Engine - is a great place to enjoy a picnic while the kids let off steam in our play park.

Don't forget there is also the popular 'Junior Driving School' for youngsters aged 4 - 8 years.

Accessibility

The Museum & the Collections Centre buildings are 100% wheelchair accessible. The doors within the museum are fully accessible to wheelchairs.

Parking

Museum parking is extensive and free with several dedicated disabled spots. The car park also has several large spaces suitable for bus and coach parking.

Toilets

There are male, female and accessible toilets within the museum. There is also a baby changing facility available.
